In An Instant Part 8 - Blondie VS Brownie Bake Off With The Plantboys | Instant Brands

Today Jacob and Giuseppe are having a cook-off, competing with their own baking recipes. It’s Blondies vs. Brownies — both made in a Vortex Air Fryer! Which one would you choose?!

Recipe:

Blondies — Ingredients:

  • 250 g oat flour (ground oats)
  • 125 g coconut sugar (can be replaced with brown sugar or maple syrup)
  • 100 g ground almonds
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¾ tsp baking powder
  • 125 g nut butter (I used almond butter)
  • 250 ml plant-based milk
  • 100 g vegan chocolate chips
     

Instructions:

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
  2. Add the nut butter and milk, and stir until smooth.
  3. Fold in half of the chocolate chips and pour the mixture into a greased cake tin (that fits your air fryer).
  4. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
  5. Select Air Fry, set to 180°C, and cook for 15 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
     

Vegan Brownies — Ingredients:

  • 120 g flour
  • 200 g caster sugar
  • 35 g vegan cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 120 g vegan butter, melted
  • 250 ml plant-based milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 60 g chocolate chips
     

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients.
  2. Add the wet ingredients and mix until smooth.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips, then pour the batter into a parchment-lined and greased cake tin (that fits your air fryer).
  4. Select Air Fry, set to 180°C, and cook for 12 minutes.
  5. Once cooked, allow to cool for 15–30 minutes before serving.
